The New Orleans Saints released quarterback Brett Hundley from the practice squad after their Monday night loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

To assist the Saints get ready for Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Hundley joined the team last week. That strategy obviously didn't work.

Jackson surpassed the Saints with 133 throwing yards, 82 rushing yards, and one score. He seems untouchable at times.

This Tuesday, the Saints released a number of players in addition to Hundley. Both offensive guard Wyatt Davis and running back Jake Funk are no longer on the practice squad.

At a later time, Davis and Funk might visit New Orleans once more. Meanwhile, Hundley will likely need to hunt elsewhere for a place to call home in the NFL

The seasoned quarterback has played in 18 games over the course of his career and has completed 59.1 percent of his throws for 1,902 yards, nine touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

It will still be Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston at the Saints' quarterback position.
